Worlds of Fun is themed around the book Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. This amusement park is divided into five major sections. The themed areas include Scandinavia, Africa, Europa, the Orient, and Americana. The park features roller coasters and flat rides as well as a large area for the young kids, Planet Snoopy.
Kansas City Zoo is known as one of America's best zoos and in 2008 it ranked number one in the nation for "African Animals and Exhibits". It also features zoo rides and learning opportunities for children. Well known for the education it brings along, the Kansas City Zoo has day camps for kids to understand about these majestic creatures.
The Arabia Steamboat Museum provides a glimpse into the past of unearthed treasure and artifacts. Guided tours are available or you can have a look around on your own. Either way, you will not be disappointed with this wonderful display of items. Along with the artifacts, they provide a video detailing the history and discovery of the Arabia.
